Thank you to everyone that donated money and provided support before, during and after my attempt to swim two lengths of Lake Tahoe on August 22, 2010. I was not able to complete the swim on that day but was very grateful for my support team and my effort in very difficult swim conditions. Being able to swim 10.2 miles in five hours as water temperatures migrated below 59 degrees will soon be shown in a documentary film by Will Schermerhorn. Special thanks to Craig Klass, Joe Londeree, Dr. Michael Ennis and Monique Londeree for also swimming in Tahoe that day along with Brian Creasy providing the navigation with Bob Schardt, Marcia Harmon and Randy Usedom providing support and kayaking in the rough water. To Rich Fahey for being the boat captain and providing the critical leadership and planning before the swim that day along with during the swim and then navigating in darkness with safety to Glenbrook after I decided to get in the boat at 10:30 PM. Jim, Barbara and Karen Gaffney for all your support since our chance meeting in early 2007. To Clark Bird who was able to complete a length swim of Tahoe that night and my brother Scott and Mary Lavin for their timely support during the entire Tahoe trip. To Ben Harmon who took the microphone on the shore of the Hyatt Beach at Incline Village and started the countdown to the start and planned on pacing me on the return length swim from Camp Richardson. Ben and I still need to swim Tahoe together, just don’t tell my Mom who also attended and was the first to greet me when I did a length swim on August 22, 2005.
